In Germany, the Car Symposium has a 20 years’ tradition and a broad reputation within the European automotive event industry.
Every year, the congress welcomes over 120 company partners and exhibitors, attracting more than 1.200 participants and journalists.

In 2015, the Car Symposium became international and found its way to China for the very first time. Located next to the China AutoShow in Beijing and Shanghai, the conference brings together experts, companies and international know-how.

Following his studies in Mechanical Engineering at TU Braunschweig, Blume began his professional career at Audi AG. After various roles in the production department, Blume moved to SEAT in 2004 and from 2009 headed up production planning for the Volkswagen brand. Four years later he was appointed as Member of the Executive Board for Production and Logistics, and became Chairman of the Executive Board at Porsche AG in 2015. Since 2018, Blume has been a Member of the Executive Board of the Volkswagen Group and in this role is responsible for Group Production. Blume also heads up the “sport/luxury” VW brand group, which includes Porsche, Bentley and Bugatti.

Alexander Seitz was born on February 21, 1962, in Lahnstein, Germany.
Seitz studied business administration at the Saarland University in Saarbrücken, with a focus on auditing and trusts as well as commercial law.
After completing a Master of Business Administration degree, Seitz began his career at what was then Daimler-Benz AG. He assumed various positions in the Accounting, Controlling and Procurement departments, from 1995 onwards at Mercedes-Benz do Brasil in Brazil.
In 2000, Seitz moved to Auburn Hills, Michigan, where he held executive positions in Procurement for the then DaimlerChrysler AG and the Chrysler Corporation.
Alexander Seitz joined Volkswagen AG in 2005 and, based in Wolfsburg, headed Groupwide Procurement for powertrains, among others. In 2008, the manager returned to Brazil and joined the executive management of Volkswagen do Brasil.
In 2013, Alexander Seitz was appointed First Vice President & Commercial Executive Vice President of SAIC Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. in Shanghai. As Co-General Manager of the Joint Venture, Seitz was responsible in his specialist function for Finance, IT, Procurement and Human Resources for the expatriates.
On September 1, 2017, Alexander Seitz joined the Board of Management of AUDI AG and assumed responsibility for Finance, IT and Integrity. With effect from September 1, 2018, Seitz became Board Member for Finance, China, Compliance and Integrity.
Dr. Stefan Hartung
Dr. Stefan Hartung has been a member of the board of management of Robert Bosch GmbH since January 2013. Since January 2019, he has been chairman of the Mobility Solutions business sector, and responsible for the Powertrain Solutions and Electrical Drives divisions. Prior to this, he was responsible for the Energy and Building Technology as well as the Industrial Technology business sectors, in addition to the Bosch Connected Industry business unit.
Born in Dortmund in 1966, Stefan Hartung is married and has two children. He studied mechanical engineering, specializing in manufacturing technology, at RWTH Aachen, where he also submitted his PhD on quality management methods in 1993.
He joined Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH in Munich in 2004. Before that, he worked for the Fraunhofer Society and the management consultants McKinsey & Company in Düsseldorf.

Karsten Crede is CEO of ERGO Mobility Solutions and Board Member of ERGO Digital Ventures AG since January 2017. Prior to this Crede has been a member of the Management Board of Alli-anz Versicherungs-AG and CEO of Allianz Global Automotive from 2009 until 2015. Before, he was responsible for global insurance business of Volkswagen Group. Since over 13 years Crede is working on shaping innovative cooperation models between the automotive and the insurance in-dustry.
